About This Blog

So maybe you’re looking around my bog and wondering what exactly this blog can do for you? Why did it start?

There is a mixture of reasons I started this blog.

  1. I am very new to scrap booking and I thought this would be a great way to document the learning process I’m going through, and perhaps one day became a good beginners resource for people joining the scrap booking world.
  2. As an Australian, I find that resources and means of getting all the products some of the amazing American and British scrap bookers have difficult. So as I find places where you can find certain resources I’m going to list it here (Maybe do a little review) so anyone else having to import their scrap booking things might have other options available.
  3. This blog will be a place for me to display my finished products (Largely they will be in picture and video formats)
  4. I hope to make this something of a compendium of tutorials that I have found useful/creative/mind blowing and links to where to find them, so when I ask myself where I found that paper bag mini tutorial I will have a directory of where to go.

So if any of those reasons seem like something that would be useful to you, why don’t you check back from time to time and see what’s going on.

As for the name of my blog. I have to give a special little shout out to my very good friend Kate, who seems to have an uncanny knack for naming things. Since I’m a bit of a ‘heavy metal’ fan, she jokingly suggested a mix of scrap booking and heavy metal, scrap metal. What Kate didn’t really know was the amount of metal pieces used in scrap booking (Especially mini albums). It just seemed like a really smart and clever blog name so that’s where the name came from.
