I am inspired by colour. Bright vivid colour. Nothing motivates or captivates me more. I have vividly coloured hair in shades of teal, turquoise, orange, pink, and green. My clothing is full of bold colours (A lot of pink). And my scrap booking has the same lean. Colour can make my mouth water. Colour and pattern is my method of communication. And I love to put together colours that people can’t imagine working and having that wow factor.
Make up is a huge inspiration for me. The bold vivid Sci-Fi make up that can transform you from one creature into another. The bold intense colours runway make up artist use to compliment outfits. The wilder the brighter the better.
Music motivates and inspires. A song lyric can completely change my perspective of the world or on a project. My musical taste is wide and varied, but I really enjoy listening to some heavier pop, heavy punk or heavy metal when I’m working, the speedy drums, guitars and guttural screaming gives me an energy and a strength I don’t normally possess.
My friends and family motivate and inspire me. All my friends and family are so creative in so many wonderful ways. I have quilting friends, photographer friends, painting friends, sewing friends, scrap booking friends, writing friends, and make up and hair styling friends. Everyone I know has such a creative talent somewhere, and it is amazing the inspiration, or different point of view that can be reached when you meld different creative elements together.
